What Year Did Disney World Open?

The following article is a dissection of the “Disney World Vs Disneyland” debate that has been going on for some time now. I am one of those campers who likes to get out and about and have fun, but I am also a realist when it comes to looking at the costs involved in having a vacation here in the Sunshine State. It is no secret that Orlando is the most popular tourist destination and home to America’s most popular theme park. There are a lot of expenses associated with running a resort like this, but that is a topic for another time.

For this article though, we will simply look at what year did Walt Disney World open. You see, many people ask me this question, “What year did Walt Disney World open?” I tend to respond with things like, “It was the first year he opened it!” Or “In 1998 he added two new parks.”

Now, when it comes to answering the question, “What year did Walt Disney World open?” It is pretty easy. When it was opened in Florida it was in the winter time, so there were a lot of folks coming down to Florida for the holidays. The weather was perfect. The weather was perfect for both Christmas and New Years.

Also, when Christmas rolled around and all of those parades were happening you had a huge number of vacationers headed down to the theme park. It was the first weekend in November, which means the park was packed. It was also a holiday that saw a lot of kids out on the roads and in the heat. The result was a huge influx of visitors to the park that lasted well into next year. This of course created a much larger crowd than would be ideal for a relatively small town such as Winter Springs.

So when it came time for Walt Disney World to open for the New Year, they decided to create another big splash to attract even more visitors. They added two new parks to the existing four. These two additions will be arriving by the end of the year. Both are sure to please. People really seem to have a tough time deciding on which one to go to. That may be because each one offers something a little different.

Epcot is mainly centered around food and beverages. Here you will find all kinds of international foods as well as American and Canadian food. On this planet you will find people from all walks of life eating in the restaurants. If you are lucky enough to get your tickets early, you can experience the amazing fireworks show. Of course the best part about this show is all the extra souvenirs you will receive when you take home a souvenir of this momentous occasion.

Animal Kingdom is the place to visit if you’re taking your family to Disney World for the first time. There are four themed areas of the exhibit that are geared toward children. This is where the majority of the animals from around the world come to explore their new surroundings. If you have not been here yet it is highly recommended.

It is always a good idea to bring a couple of friends or family with you when visiting a theme park. You never know what will happen and it is always fun to share stories with others. Disney World is no exception. Each day at the park there are exciting new adventures waiting just for you and your loved ones.

You may want to bring your camera before heading out. Every Disney attraction has photos available to view for their newest visitors. You will be able to relive your vacation every time you return. The photos from this year will definitely be something to keep in your memory books forever.

Another great location is EPCOT (Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow). This is an international center of education, research, and testing. The goal of this center is to develop safe and clean energy for the benefit of future generations. This will also allow you to taste foods from around the world. If you are looking for a true vacation experience without having to leave home this is the place for you. You will not regret your decision once you have experienced what year did Disney world open.
